We do all we can to support and empower you when you answer God’s call to serve the needs of your sister parish.

From the beginning steps of a forming a twinning with a poor parish in Haiti or Latin America throughout the growth and development of a close relationship of solidarity, PTPA is here to support you every step of the way.

Services:  PTPA is committed to strengthening twinning relationships and supporting member engagement through the following activities: 

  • Parish Engagement in the U.S.:
    Visiting U.S. parishes to offer presentations and deepen understanding of Haiti ministries and present on potential twinning opportunities in Haiti and Latin America.
  • Facilitating Connection with Twin Parishes in Haiti:
    Supporting communication and relationship-building, especially where travel is limited due to socio-political and security challenges.
    • Creole Translation Support:
      Assisting members with translation needs to improve clarity and cultural connection.
  • Training and Webinars:
    Hosting virtual gatherings (e.g., Zoom sessions) on topics of interest to members, including best practices, updates from Haiti, and ministry development.
  • In-Person Haiti Visits on Behalf of Members:
    Coordinating safe, meaningful visits to twin parishes in Haiti through our Haiti-based team when direct travel is not feasible.
  • Connecting Members with Like-Minded Organizations:
    When appropriate and aligned with the partner organization’s mission and framework, PTPA may help connect members with other organizations that can support their requests or initiatives.
  • PTPA Members Portal:
    An enormous library of resources to enhance your parish twinning relationship. Being Twinned with another parish can be fun and challenging. Through participation in this Membership Portal we hope that you will find answers to questions and helpful advice.

Partnerships

PTPA works in collaborative partnership with a number of like-minded Catholic and Christian organizations to offer valuable services and enhance support for our twin parishes.  We also have working collaborations with several other organizations to help expand impact on twin parishes and provide on the ground support. Membership

PTPA offers a range of value-added services and benefits to parishes that join as members. While there is no charge for membership or for accessing resources through our member portal, we deeply appreciate any donations or tithing support. These contributions help sustain PTPA’s mission and allow us to continue providing accompaniment, tools, and resources to our members.

Activities Outside PTPA’s Current Capacity

While PTPA remains committed to supporting members in creative and impactful ways, the following activities are currently outside our operational scope:

  • Direct Transfer of Funds:
    PTPA does not facilitate or manage financial transfers between parishes or organizations.
  • Integration Requests to Food for the Poor (FFTP) or other organizations:
    PTPA cannot influence or guarantee parish inclusion in FFTP’s programs or decision-making processes.
  • Donation or Funding Requests on Behalf of Members:
    PTPA does not solicit external funding for individual parish projects or ministries. Additionally, PTPA is not a grant-making organization and cannot provide direct financial support to parishes in Haiti. We are also unable to present or promote partner projects to U.S. parishes on behalf of members seeking funding or material support.
  • Shipping Goods to Haiti: At this time, PTPA does not coordinate or manage the shipment of materials or supplies to Haiti. 
  • Advocacy/Lobbying on behalf of other organizations
  • Reporting on Conditions/News in Haiti: Due to the rapidly changing and highly localized nature of conditions across Haiti, PTPA cannot provide regular updates or reports on safety, political developments. We encourage members to consult trusted news sources and local contacts for the most current information.
