We will have a special guester presenter, Gerry Delaquis from Water with Blessings. Gerry will share his unique perspective as a man born in Haiti who has lived and served in the United States for many years, on the history of Haiti - "How did we get here? What now?"
Here is a bit of information about Mr. Delaquis:
Born in Jeremie, Haiti.
Immigrated to New York City as a young man
Joined the US military as a soldier, and served as a Warrant Officer in maintenance and logistics
Assignments at different bases in the US, Germany, Egypt, and the US embassy in Kuwait
Took part in the return in Haiti of President Jean Bertrand Aristide by the US. This was one of the main reasons he left the US military after 23 years of service.
Worked at the Post Office for 10 years
Founder of Light For All (LIFA), a nonprofit organization focused on education in rural Haiti for 18 years (closed in 2014)
Country Coordinator at Water With Blessings for Haiti since 2016
Two sons, one daughter. five grandsons, and married to the love of his life for 53 years

Denny's organization provides FREE computers for schools in Haiti, preloaded with a library of educational software called "Internet in a box". Kevin's organization is a provider of solar energy in Haiti, providing the electricity required for these computers, lighting for classrooms, etc.
